
Public Health reports highest number of COVID-19 cases since summer surge
Los Angeles County Division of Public Health authorities reported Saturday the greatest single-day variety of brand-new COVID-19 cases since the July rise, with more than 3,700 instances countywide, of which more than 90 originated from the Santa Clarita Valley.
A total amount of 3,780 new cases were reported countywide, as well as 93 originated from the Santa Clarita Valley, with 78% coming from the city of Santa Clarita, according to Public Health.
The surge in cases, of which 74% of those reported Saturday came from those under the age of 50, “makes complex preparing for boosting the numbers of students going back to schools, better re-opening additional sectors and also allowing additional activities,” authorities claimed in a news release.
” Several more youthful people are out socializing with non-household members, elevating concerns that asymptomatic young people are assisting to spread out the virus to even more susceptible people each time when situations are rising dangerously in the county,” said Public Health Supervisor Barbara Ferrer in a prepared declaration. “While the effect of the coronavirus on more youthful people might not be substantially related to fatalities, younger individuals certainly act as a transmission port to individuals at a higher threat.”
Public Health authorities also urged homeowners that as the holiday season strategies, people should follow safety guidelines on small exclusive events if one plans to get together with others.

Hospitalizations countywide: 966; 28% of whom are in the ICU.
Hospital Stays at Henry Mayo Newhall Medical Facility as of Nov. 11: 16, with 328 discharged because the start of the pandemic.
COVID-19 situations reported in the Santa Clarita Valley in the past 1 day: 93, 73 of which originated from the city of Santa Clarita.
